Mina Sahar Saffron is a Brooklyn-based, women-owned company founded by Palwasha Raqib, which sells ethically-sourced saffron from Herat, Afghanistan.

For this website, I used bright colors that represent saffron—from its cultivation to its harvest. It was important to include images of the harvesters who are primarily women farmers. I also wanted to highlight Palwasha’s travels to her native country and her love of cooking Afghan food, which she shares with her community through her pop-up dinners and recipes.
